Key indicators

On the new home page the key indicators are formed as follows:

<div id="key-numbers">

<h2>Key indicators</h2>

<ul>

<li id="key_name">

<a href="url-address">

<span class="key">Key name</span>

<span class="key-value">Key value</span>

<span class="key-time">Key time</span>

</a>

</li>

<li id="key_name">

<a href="url-address">

<span class="key">Key name</span>

<span class="key-value">Key value</span>

<span class="key-time">Key time</span>

</a>

</li>

</ul>

</div>

where <div id="key-numbers"> groups together all elements related to the key indicators and each <li id="key_name"> presents one key indicator and its data. The key indicator id is formed from its name so that the id contains no special characters and spaces are replaced with an underline character _ . <a href="url-address"> works as a link to the statistical release where the data were presented.

Key indicators are given as a list in alphabetical order on the renewed home page, which means that the order of the key indicators differs in the language versions. The key indicator acts as a link to the statistical release where the data were published. The reference period is given, in addition to the name and actual numerical value of the key indicator. If necessary, soft hyphenation is used in the names of the key indicators. At the time of release there are eight key indicators.

An example of a key indicator:

<li id="cost-of-living_index">

<a href="http://stat.fi/til/khi/2014/11/khi_2014_11_2014-12-15_tau_002_en.html">

<span class="key">Cost-of-living Index</span>

<span class="key-value">1 913</span>

<span class="key-time">(11/14)</span>

</a>

</li>
