Building costs grew by 1.0 per cent year-on-year in January

According to Statistics Finland, building costs were 1.0 per cent higher in January 2014 than in January of the previous year. The prices of labour inputs in construction went up by 1.2 per cent, the prices of materials grew by 0.8 per cent, and those of other inputs increased by 1.5 per cent from one year ago.

From December to January, the total index of building costs rose by 0.6 per cent. The prices of labour inputs fell by 0.2 per cent, the prices of materials rose by 1.1 per cent, and those of other inputs went up by 0.2 per cent.
