Building costs grew by 1.3 per cent year-on-year in October

According to Statistics Finland, building costs were 1.3 per cent higher in October 2014 than in October of the previous year. The prices of labour inputs in construction went up by 0.6 per cent. The prices of materials and other inputs increased by 1.7 per cent from the year before.

From September to October, the total index of building costs rose by 0.1 per cent. The prices of labour inputs grew by 0.5 per cent, the prices of materials fell by 0.1 per cent and those of other inputs remained unchanged from the previous month.
