Revisions to the data of the volume index of industrial output for July-November 2011
The received erroneous basic data concerning the third quarter have been corrected for the activity of the electrical and electronics industry (26-27). These revisions have influenced the point figures and change percentages for the third quarter.
Below is an example of how the original annual change percentages for July-November 2011 have become revised in a few main activities. The figures for July-November 2011 released on 10 January 2012 are given in brackets. The revisions for the July to September period are mainly due to the corrections made to the erroneous data received for activity 26-27. In addition, estimation is used eight times per year for activity 26-27, so the revisions to the data for October and November are due to the estimation.
