The National Consumer Research Centre and Statistics Finland have
together compiled a new household satellite account. Its purpose is
to bring into view the non-market production of households, of

Presidency has started
Finland's six-month Presidency of the Council of the European Union
began on 1 July 2006. In the field of statistics the main
responsibility during the Presidency lies with Statistics Finland.

Statistics Finland has published a new pocket size book of
statistics on culture, Finland's Culture in Figures 2006. The
publication contains statistics on the main fields of arts, the
mass media, and other cultural and leisure activities.

January Finland's economy strong by Nordic
comparison
Finland's production has grown by 38 per cent from 1995 to 2004,
most among all Nordic Countries. The data appear from the new
Nordic Statistical Yearbook 2005.
