Turnover of construction enterprises grew by good 8 per cent in April to June

According to Statistics Finland, in the second quarter of 2015, the turnover of construction enterprises increased by 8.5 per cent and the sales volume by 8.0 per cent year-on-year. In the corresponding period one year earlier, turnover grew by 2.5 per cent.

Turnover grew in all construction industries. The turnover of civil engineering grew strongest, by 16.0 per cent. The turnover of building construction went up by 8.8 per cent and that of specialised construction activities by 5.9 per cent.

The sales volume of construction enterprises grew by 17.7 per cent in civil engineering. The sales volume of building construction increased by 8.5 per cent and that of specialised construction activities by 5.5 per cent.

The volume index of enterprises’ sales is calculated by removing the effect of price changes from the turnover index series.
