Flash estimate of GDP for quarter 1/2004

GDP is estimated to have grown by 2.1 per cent in the first quarter of 2004 compared with the corresponding quarter of the previous year (the seasonally adjusted change from the previous year's same quarter used in the EU Flash estimate is 2.5 per cent). From the previous quarter seasonally adjusted GDP is estimated to have increased by 0.5 per cent.

Quarterly national accounts with more accurate GDP data will be published on 9 June 2004. The Flash estimate of GDP on the next quarter will be released on 13 August 2004.
