Costs of civil engineering decreased by 1.6 per cent in September 2024 year-on-year

According to Statistics Finland, the costs of civil engineering decreased by 1.6 per cent in September 2024 compared with the previous year’s corresponding period. The annual change in costs varied by sub-index from 0.8 per cent for rock structures to -5.7 per cent for surfacing.

  • Examined by cost factor in September 2024, the biggest cost increase from one year ago occurred in the costs of purchased machine services (3.1%).

  • The total index decreased by 0.9 per cent from the month before.
