According to Statistics Finland, 235 bankruptcy proceedings were instigated in May 2023, which is 34 fewer than in the corresponding period one year earlier. The number of staff-years in enterprises that filed for bankruptcy totalled 947, which is 121 staff-years fewer than in May 2022.

  • In May 2023, the number of instigated bankruptcy proceedings was lowest in agriculture, forestry and fishery, in which industry just one bankruptcy proceeding was instigated.
