Turnover of construction grew by 2.7 per cent in March 2023 from one year ago
According to Statistics Finland, working day adjusted turnover of construction enterprises grew by 2.7 per cent in March 2023 compared to the year before. The volume of sales, from which the impact of price changes has been eliminated, decreased by 3.8 per cent. Seasonally
adjusted turnover in construction did not change in March from the month before. Seasonally adjusted sales volume decreased slightly in March compared to February.

Sales volume in construction industries declined from one year back
In March 2023 working day adjusted turnover in building construction increased by 3.5 per cent and sales volume decreased by 3.2 per cent compared to one year before. The turnover of civil engineering adjusted for working days decreased by 4.0 per cent and sales volume decreased by 10.5 per cent from the previous year. One reason for the weaker development of sales volume compared to turnover is the higher than usual growth in the prices of civil engineering in March. Turnover in specialised construction activities grew by 3.8 per cent and sales volume decreased by 2.9 per cent from one year earlier.

Seasonally adjusted turnover in construction did not change in March 2023 compared to February. Seasonally adjusted sales volume decreased by 0.4 per cent in March 2023 from February.
