Turnover in trade grew 3.1 % in April 2023
release | Turnover of trade 2023, AprilAccording to Statistics Finland's preliminary data, the working day adjusted turnover in total trade grew by 3.1 per cent in April 2023 compared with April 2022. The volume of total trade sales, from which the impact of price changes has been eliminated, grew by 2.1 per cent over the same period.

Working day adjusted turnover of retail trade grew in April by 4.7 per cent
The working day adjusted turnover of retail trade increased by 4.7 per cent in April from April 2022. The volume of retail trade sales fell by 3.1 per cent over the same period. In daily consumer goods trade, the working day adjusted turnover increased by 7.2 per cent in April. The sales volume, however, fell by 2.6 per cent from the corresponding period of the previous year.
Seasonally adjusted turnover grew compared to previous month
Seasonally adjusted turnover in total trade increased by 1.3 per cent in April compared to March and sales volume by 2.4 per cent over the same period. In March, seasonally adjusted turnover fell by 0.4 per cent and sales volume increased by 0.3 per cent compared to the month before.
