The index of turnover of trade describes development in turnover of enterprises engaged in trade. Turnover is exclusive of value-added tax. In addition, the volume index of sales, from which the impact of prices has been eliminated, is produced on trade. Data are based on the Tax Administration's data and a sales inquiry. The data are published monthly.

The latest industries defined by the Business Register will be adopted in the statistics in January 2025.
