Turnover decreased in June in nearly all main industries

Turnover decreased in June most in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, by 24.7 per cent, and in mining and quarrying, by 24.4 per cent from one year back. Turnover in the chemical industry declined by 23.7 per cent. Turnover went down by 20.8 per cent in the forest industry and by 7.7 per cent in the metal industry. Turnover grew only in the food industry and was 5.4 per cent higher than in the previous year.

Export turnover declined in nearly all main industries in June. Export turnover decreased most in mining and quarrying, by 45.4 per cent from one year ago. Export turnover decreased by 26.4 per cent in the forest industry and by 19.9 per cent in the chemical industry. Export turnover in the metal industry was 8.3 per cent lower than one year ago. Export turnover grew only in the textile industry, by 7.5 per cent from one year ago.

Domestic turnover decreased in nearly all main industries in June. Domestic turnover decreased most in the chemical industry and was 31.4 per cent lower than one year earlier. In the forest industry, domestic turnover decreased by 9.2 per cent and in the metal industry by 6.3 per cent. Domestic turnover grew only in the food industry, up by 8.9 per cent from the previous year.

Turnover decreased in June from the previous month

Seasonally adjusted turnover in industry decreased by 2.4 per cent in June 2023 compared to May. In May, turnover went down by 0.9 per cent, while in April it was 4.0 per cent lower than in the previous month.
