Turnover in trade fell 2.3 per cent in October 2023
According to Statistics Finland's preliminary data, the working day adjusted turnover in total trade fell by 2.3 per cent in October 2023 compared with October 2022. The volume of total trade sales, from which the impact of price changes has been eliminated, decreased by 1.6 per cent over the same period.

Working day adjusted turnover of retail trade grew in October by 2.4 per cent
The working day adjusted turnover of retail trade increased by 2.4 per cent in October from October 2022. The volume of retail trade sales fell by 0.8 per cent over the same period. In daily consumer goods trade, the working day adjusted turnover increased by 4.4 per cent in October. The sales volume grew by 0.5 per cent from the corresponding period of the previous year.
Seasonally adjusted turnover decreased compared to previous month
Seasonally adjusted turnover in total trade decreased by 0.5 per cent in October compared to September and sales volume fell 0.9 per cent over the same period. In September, seasonally adjusted turnover grew by 0.5 per cent and sales volume fell by 0.1 per cent compared to the month before.
