Number of apprehended persons aged 15 to 17 grew by 20 per cent in 2022

release | Statistics on offences and coercive measures 2022According to Statistics Finland's data, the police, customs and border guard used coercive measures 174,100 times in 2022. This is two per cent or 3,600 fewer coercive measures than in the year before. The number of apprehensions was 20,100, which is 1.3 per cent more than in the year before. The number of detentions of foreigners grew by 14.2 per cent and they numbered 685.
