Transport in domestic waterborne traffic decreased by 19 per cent in January 2023
According to Statistics Finland's preliminary data, the goods volume in domestic waterborne traffic totalled 0,4 million tonnes in January 2023. Transport in domestic waterborne traffic decreased by 19 per cent compared to January 2022. In January 2023 domestic water transport took place only in coastal waterways.

Oil products were transported most, in total 188,153 tonnes, which was 51 per cent of all transport. The second most transported was timber, 79,183 tonnes, which was 21 per cent of all transport.
