Transport in domestic waterborne traffic increased by 57 per cent in December 2022
According to Statistics Finland's preliminary data, the goods volume in domestic waterborne traffic totalled 0,7 million tonnes in December 2022. Transport in domestic waterborne traffic increased by 57 per cent compared to December 2021. In December 2022 68 per cent of domestic water transport took place in coastal waterways.

Oil products and timber were transported most in domestic waterborne traffic in December
Oil products were transported most, in total 304,341 tonnes, which was 46 per cent of all transport. The second most transported was timber, 291,106 tonnes, which was 44 per cent of all transport.
