Railway statistics 2023, 1st quarter

Number of trips by train in passenger traffic increased by 30 per cent in the first quarter of 2023

According to Statistics Finland, a total of 20 million trips was travelled by rail in the first quarter of 2023, which was 30 per cent more than in the same quarter of 2022. Freight transferred by rail was 6,8 million tons, which was 18 per cent less than in the first quarter of 2022.
