Industrial output grew in October 2024 both month-on-month and year-on-year
Seasonally adjusted industrial output (TOL BCD) grew by 0.8 per cent in October from the month before. According to Statistics Finland, industrial output adjusted for working days went up by 0.6 per cent compared to one year ago.

Adjusted for working days, industrial output (C) grew by 1.3 per cent in October 2024 from one year earlier. Output grew by 0.3 per cent from the previous month.
Industrial output grew in October most in mining and quarrying, by 15.2 per cent from the month before. In the chemical industry, output was 6.2 per cent higher and in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply 2.3 per cent higher than in September. Output decreased most in the electrical and electronics industry, by 4.3 per cent from the month before. In other main industries, the drop was under one per cent from the month before; output decreased by 0.8 per cent in the food industry, by 0.6 per cent in the metal industry and by 0.3 per cent in the forest industry.
