According to Statistics Finland, a total of 5,800 new passenger cars were registered in December 2023, which was 6 per cent fewer than in December 2022. In all, 9,976 new vehicles were registered in December 2023. First registrations decreased by 10 per cent from December 2022.

  • A total of 87,508 new passenger cars were registered in 2023, which was 7 per cent more than 2022.
  • Of first-time registered passenger cars in December 2023, 36 per cent were fully electric. The number of their registrations was 2,103, or 14 per cent higher than in December 2022.
  • Used imported passenger numbered 2,827 in December, which was 37 per cent more than in December 2022.
