Altogether 114 business restructuring proceedings were filed in the second quarter of 2024
releaseAccording to Statistics Finland’s data, 114 business restructuring proceedings were filed in the second quarter of 2024, which is 7.5 per cent more than in the second quarter of 2023. The number of staff-years in enterprises for which a petition for restructuring had been filed totalled 664, which is 30.1 per cent fewer than in the year before.

- During the past 12 months, the number of business restructuring proceedings has increased relatively most in agriculture, forestry and fishing compared with the 12 months preceding this period. The number of business restructuring proceedings decreased most in construction and in transportation and storage.
- In the second quarter of 2024, over one-half of the enterprises for which a petition for restructuring had been filed operated in service industries.
