Farmer's inflation eased slightly in the last quarter of 2023

According to Statistics Finland, the purchase prices of the means of agricultural production fell by 12.8 per cent in the last quarter of 2023. Agricultural production commodities and services cost 18.2 per cent less and investments 3.7 per cent more. Despite the fall in farmer prices, prices of agricultural inputs were considerably higher than prior to the pandemic and Russia's war of aggression and also higher than the general price development.
