Domestic leisure trips decreased clearly in December 2023

According to Statistics Finland, around 0.6 million leisure trips abroad were made in December 2023, which is good one tenth more than one year before. The number of domestic leisure trips with overnight stay was falling for the second year in a row.

  • The number of nights spent during domestic and foreign leisure trips totalled around 9.6 million, which is almost the same as in the year before.
