Volume of goods transported by lorries remained unchanged in the first quarter of 2024

According to Statistics Finland, a total of 49 million tonnes of goods were transported by lorries in domestic road transport during the first quarter of 2024, which was as much as in the corresponding period one year earlier. The volume of transported soil materials decreased by 17 per cent and the volume of transport of other goods increased by 5 per cent compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
