Producer prices for manufactured products rose by 0.4 per cent in January 2025 year-on-year
According to Statistics Finland, producer prices for manufactured products rose by an average of 0.4 per cent from January 2024 to January 2025. The producer prices of manufactured products sold on the domestic market went down by 0.6 per cent, while the producer prices of export products went up by 1.8 per cent.

Product groups affecting the changes in indices
Producer prices for manufactured products went up by an average of 0.4 per cent from a year ago. The import price index went down by 1.0 per cent in a year. The decrease in import prices was, in turn, especially caused by lower prices of electricity and precious metals compared with last year’s January. The fall in prices was curbed especially by the increase in prices of crude oil and food products.
The basic price index for domestic supply fell by 0.8 per cent and the basic price index for domestic supply including taxes went up by 0.4 per cent from a year ago.
From December to January, producer prices for manufactured products went up by 1.5 per cent. Producer prices were particularly boosted by the higher prices of electricity compared with the previous month. The rise in prices was curbed especially by the fallen prices of iron and steel compared with the previous month.
