Road traffic accidents claimed 7 lives in February 2025
According to Statistics Finland's preliminary data, 114 accidents involving personal injury happened in road traffic in February 2025. In them, 7 persons were killed and 140 persons injured. The number of fatalities was 10 lower and number of persons injured 44 lower than in February 2024. The data were compared with the previous year's preliminary data.

Road traffic accidents in January to February
According to preliminary data, there were a total of 251 road traffic accidents involving personal injury in the January to February period of 2025. In them, 20 persons were killed and 316 persons injured. The number of deaths was seven lower and the number of persons injured 61 lower than in the corresponding period of 2024. Of the persons who were killed, 15 travelled by passenger car, two by van and one by lorry. One pedestrian was killed. In addition, one other road user was killed.
