Industrial output grew in December 2024 from one year back but decreased from the previous month
Seasonally adjusted industrial output (TOL BCD) decreased by 1.7 per cent in December from the month before. According to Statistics Finland, industrial output adjusted for working days grew by 1.6 per cent compared to one year ago.

Output grew in several main industries in December from the month before
Adjusted for working days, industrial output (C) grew by 1.5 per cent in December 2024 from one year earlier. Output fell by 0.9 per cent from the previous month.
Among the main industries examined in the chart, industrial output grew most in December in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, by 4.3 per cent, and in the electrical and electronics industry, by 3.2 per cent from the month before. Output in the metal industry was 1.7 per cent higher and in the forest industry 0.9 per cent higher than in November. Output declined most from the previous month in the chemical industry, by 10.0 per cent. Output decreased by 4.6 per cent in mining and quarrying and by 1.5 per cent in the food industry compared to November.
