Inquiry on preliminary financial statements of public entities
The data collection gathers preliminary data from enterprises and corporations classified into general government on profit and loss account and balance sheet items, as well as on investments. The inquired preliminary data concern, for example, turnover, personnel costs, capital expenses and income, investments by commodity type, and debts and assets by counterpart sector.
Data are requested from those enterprises and corporations that are classified into the general government sector in national accounts.
The data are used for compiling national accounts and for general government deficit and debt reporting to the European Commission.
