Police Barometer

The aim of this survey is to explore the views of citizens regarding the activities of the police and the state of internal security.

Statistics Finland is responsible for collecting the data. Statistics Finland carries out the survey, commissioned by the Ministry of the Interior, in cooperation with the Police University College. The survey has been conducted since 1999, and it is carried out around every two years.

The results will be utilised in planning measures to promote the safety and well-being of Finnish residents and to support decision-making.

Respond to the inquiry

The persons selected to the survey will receive a letter by post asking them to take part in the survey on a web form. The letter contains instructions for responding on the web form and a personal ID and password which are used to respond on the form. The paper questionnaire is sent later to those respondents who prefer to respond to the postal inquiry.

Reply online

You have received your survey username and password in a letter. Take out your ID, and click on the button above to go to the reply page. Alternatively, you can read the QR code in the letter to go directly to the form.

If you have received a text message or email from us, you can also follow the instructions. There is no need to prepare in advance.
