Use of information technology in enterprises

The inquiry on the use of information technology in enterprises is used to produce statistical data on enterprises' use of information technology and electronic commerce. The inquiry collects data on Internet connections, the use of web pages, social media and cloud services,
and online commerce.

The inquiry is carried out annually in February to March with uniform data content and the same methods in all EU countries. Data are collected from all enterprises employing at least 100 persons and a sample is drawn from enterprises employing under 100 persons. Approximately 4,800 enterprises are included in the inquiry.
