Statistical services

Statistics Finland produces statistics for other organisations to order as well. The statistical service can contain the whole process related to the production of the statistics from the data collection to distribution or only to a process of some sub-task. The data collection included in the service can be carried out either by interviewing, as an electronic inquiry or by combining ready-made register data.

The statistical service is always planned in close cooperation with each customer and the service is carried out as agreed in detail in an information service agreement.

The distribution solution of a typical statistical service is implemented as a PxWeb database service. Examples of PxWeb services:

Ready-made graphs, tables and analysing texts can also be published as part of the statistical service. If needed, statistical data are also delivered to customers in unidentifiable form for research use.
