Statistical databases

In Statistics Finland's statistical databases, you find versatile statistical data in table format. From the easy-to-use databases you can extract the data you need as tables, examine the data as statistical graphs or download the data for your use. The databases can also be used through interfaces.

Changes to interface use of PxWeb databases on 8 June

The structure of px files in statistical databases was changed on 8 June 2026. In order for queries made via the API interface to function after the change, they need to be adjusted.

Free-of-charge statistical databases

The most important of the free statistical databases is StatFin, which is a key source of Finnish statistical data. The other free databases contain less extensive statistical data on a particular theme or according to a certain regional division.

Statistics Finland's Built environment service contains diverse data describing building production and building investments. Included are both rapid data on economic cycles and more slowly updated data describing characteristics of buildings.
