Transport in domestic waterborne traffic increased in July 2022

According to Statistics Finland's preliminary data, the goods volume in domestic waterborne traffic totalled 0,5 million tonnes in July 2022. Transport in domestic waterborne traffic increased by 55 per cent compared to July 2021. In July 2022 domestic water transport took place almost only in coastal waterways.

Oil products were transported most in domestic waterborne traffic in July

Oil products were transported most, in total 266,559 tonnes, which was 53 per cent of all transport. The second most transported was coal and coke, 86,876 tonnes.
