Read more about the changeAccording to the preliminary data of Statistics Finland, the number of occupational accidents grew in 2021 from the previous year. A total of 118,800 accidents at work occurred in 2021. This was 5.9 per cent more than in the year before.

- Farmers' accidents at work decreased by 13.3 per cent.

- Examined by industry, the number of occupational accidents grew in relative terms most in water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities (24.1%) and in administrative and support service activities (15.5%).
