According to Statistics Finland, a total of 6,764 new passenger cars were registered in June 2024, which was 26 per cent fewer than one year earlier. In all, 12,016 new vehicles were registered in June. First registrations decreased by 23 per cent from the corresponding month of the previous year.

  • In January to June period of 2024, a total of 39,157 new passenger cars were registered, which was 16 per cent fewer than one year earlier.
  • Of first-time registered passenger cars in June 2024, 28 per cent were fully electric. The number of their registrations was 1,901, or 39 per cent fewer than one year earlier.
  • Used imported passenger cars numbered 3,272, which was one per cent fewer than one year earlier.
