One fifth more leisure trips abroad in November 2023

release | Finnish travel 2023, NovemberAccording to Statistics Finland, around 0.5 million leisure trips abroad were made in November 2023, which is one fifth more than in the corresponding period of the year before. The number of domestic leisure trips with overnight stay decreased by good one-tenth from November 2022.

- Around 1.5 million domestic trips with overnight stay were made in November 2023. Of the trips, 1.2 million were leisure trips and 0.3 million business trips.
- The number of domestic leisure trips with paid accommodation remained on level with November 2022, but the number of trips with free accommodation fell by around 15 per cent.
- Slightly over 3.0 million overnight stays during leisure trips were recorded both in Finland and abroad in November 2023.
