Accrual of taxes and compulsory social security contributions grew by 0,7 per cent in 2023

According to Statistics Finland’s preliminary data, the accrual of taxes and compulsory social security contributions grew by 0.7 per cent in 2023 and totalled EUR 116.4 billion. The tax ratio was 41.9 per cent in 2023. Compared to the revised data for 2022, the tax ratio decreases by 1.3 percentage points. The tax ratio describes the ratio of taxes and compulsory social security contributions to gross domestic product.
