Entrepreneurial income from agriculture falls more than estimated in 2023

According to the second preliminary estimate of the Economic Accounts for Agriculture produced by Statistics Finland, as a result of the poor crop in 2023 and the abolition of the crisis support paid in 2022, entrepreneurial income from agriculture is estimated to decline by nearly 23 per cent from the previous year. The corresponding estimate was 16 per cent in last December. Despite the difficulties in plant production, livestock production fared reasonably well.
