According to Statistics Finland, the median earnings for regular hours worked of full-time monthly paid wage and salary earners earning full pay working in the local government sector were EUR 3,313 per month in 2023. The earnings were EUR 3,306 in municipalities and joint municipal authorities and EUR 3,319 in wellbeing services counties and joint county authorities for wellbeing services. Wage and salary earners with main employment relationships numbered 232,000 in municipalities and joint municipal authorities and 210,000 in wellbeing services counties and joint county authorities or wellbeing services.
