Information about the change
The statistics are renewed in connection with the publication of data for 2024, when the reference period, the base year, is updated from 2015 to 2020. The indices of the base years 2015=100, 2010=100, 2005=100 and 2000=100 will be calculated forward by chaining with the changes of the latest base year.
The index point figures for 2023 are preliminary until the final data are published on 6 May 2024. After this, the index series of earlier base years will develop in the same way as the indices of the base year 2020=100.
The sample and the weight structure of agricultural price indices are updated every five years. In January 2024, the weight structure of agricultural price indices were updated to correspond to the structure of the agriculture in 2020.
