Consumer price index: Additions have been made to tables 15b5 and 15b7 of the statistics starting from the release of data for March 2026

Description of new data
The sub-items of commodity category 01.1.2.2 Meat, fresh, chilled or frozen (ND) have been added to database tables 15b5 -- Consumer Price Index (2025=100), monthly data and 15b7 -- Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) and Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices at Constant Taxes (HICP-CT) (2025=100), monthly data:
- 01.1.2.2.1 Meat of bovine animals, fresh, chilled or frozen
- 01.1.2.2.2 Meat of pigs, fresh, chilled or frozen
- 01.1.2.2.4 Meat of poultry, fresh, chilled or frozen.
Eurostat also publishes more detailed 6-digit level data on meat in the Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices. The data have been added to ensure that the data content is consistent with the data published by Eurostat.
