Description

The statistics on mutual funds contain data on their investments, shares and ownership of shares by quarter.

Data content

Annually published data on mutual funds comprise profit and loss accounts and balance sheets classified into groups according to the investment policies of the funds. Data published by type of fund include those on the contents of securities portfolio by issuing sector, value of the fund, values of fund units, net subscriptions of fund units in a quarter and distribution of issued fund units by owner sector.

The basic data on individual funds are subject to general rules on secrecy.

The data are collected direct from mutual funds.

Updating frequency

Quarterly.

Time of completion or release

The data are finalised with a time lag of approximately six weeks.

Time series

Quarterly data are available since 1995 on e.g. values and investments of funds. As of the beginning of 2000, data have also been collected on net subscriptions to funds and on the distribution of funds units by owner sector.
