A total of 21,900 polytechnic degrees were attained in 2010

According to Statistics Finland, a total of 21,900 polytechnic degrees were attained in Finland in 2010. This is 4 per cent more than in the year before. The numbers of degrees were highest in the fields of welfare, health and physical exercise as well as in technology and transport. The proportion of women of polytechnic degrees was 63 per cent. Higher polytechnic degrees were obtained by 1,253 students, of whom 64 per cent were women.
