A total of 22,900 degrees were attained in polytechnics in 2011
According to Statistics Finland, a total of 22,900 polytechnic degrees were attained in Finland in 2011. This is 4.6 per cent more than in the year before. The numbers of degrees were highest in the fields of welfare, health and physical exercise as well as in technology and transport. The proportion of women of polytechnic degrees was 63 per cent. Higher polytechnic degrees were obtained by 1,500 students, of whom 66 per cent were women.
