Retail trade services of motor vehicles the largest product group in motor vehicle trade 2005

Total turnover in motor vehicle trade including other wholesale and retail trade was a good EUR 18.9 billion in 2005. The motor vehicle trade industries made up a good EUR 17.8 billion, or 93.9 per cent, of the turnover. The share of retail trade of motor vehicles was 42.8 per cent of the turnover in motor vehicle trade and that of wholesale trade of motor vehicles 28.4 per cent. Retail trade of motor vehicle parts and accessories was the third largest product group with a share of 8.3 per cent and wholesale trade of motor vehicle parts and accessories the fourth largest 1) with a share of 6.7 per cent.
