Data of the statistics on local government finances for 2015 and 2016 have been corrected

Statistics Finland has corrected the release on the statistics on local government finances for the statistical reference year 2015 concerning joint municipal authorities. The correction is caused due to previously received incorrect data. The specialised health care and support service’s operational economy expenses and income of joint municipal authorities changed in this correction.

Due to changed data for the statistical reference year 2015, the annual change percentages of the release for the statistical reference year 2016 have been revised.

Net costs of municipalities’ social and health care activities were almost on level with the previous year in 2016

Net costs of municipalities’ social and health care activities amounted to EUR 17.9 billion in 2015
