Other business services the most significant product group of intermediate consumption in 2006
According to the supply and use tables concerning the year 2006, group 74, Other business services, was the most significant product group of intermediate consumption in Finland's national economy. The next most important were product group 27, Basic metals; product group 24, Chemicals, chemical products and man-made fibres; product group 70, Real estate services; and product group 23, coke, refined petroleum products and nuclear fuels.
Intermediate consumption consists of the value of the goods and services consumed as inputs by a process of production, excluding fixed assets whose consumption is recorded as consumption of fixed capital.

Statistics Finland publishes annually supply and use tables describing product flows in the national economy, and input-output and analysis tables derived from them. Tables for 2006 and revised tables for the years from 2003 to 2005 are published now. The tables are based on revised time series of annual national accounts. The revisions concern nearly all financial transactions, economic activities and sectors. At the same time, revisions have been made to the product structures in the tables. Tables concerning 2007 will be published in July 2010. Revised supply and use tables for the years 2000-2002 will be published in December 2010.
