Cubic volume of granted building permits diminished clearly in February

In February 2009, building permits were granted for a total of 2.2 million cubic metres, which is 30 per cent less than one year ago. The cubic volume of residential buildings covered by granted building permits was good one-third lower than in the previous year. The cubic volume of industrial and warehouse building permits halved from last year's February. Agricultural buildings were the only building types for which the cubic volume of granted building permits increased from one year back.

The cubic volume covered by building permits granted in the January-February period of 2009 was one-third lower than in the same period of the previous year. Cubic volumes went down in all building types apart from agricultural buildings.
