Concepts and definitions

Fund value

The fund's total market value minus any debts.

Investment fund

A fund management company raises capital from private and corporate customers and invests it in the securities which make up the investment fund.

Mutual fund share

A mutual fund is divided into equal shares conferring equal rights to the fund's assets.

Net subscriptions of mutual fund shares

Subscriptions minus redemptions of shares in mutual funds during a specific period of time.
