Industrial output decreased by 0.1 per cent year-on-year in February
According to Statistics Finland, seasonally adjusted industrial output was 0.1 per cent lower in February 2007 than twelve months earlier. The growth in industrial output which continued throughout last year halted in January.

Output fell in several main industries in February. The largest decrease of good 8 per cent was recorded in the manufacture of electrical and electronic products. In the chemical industry, output declined by just short of 4 per cent and in the metal industry by good one per cent. By contrast, growth still continued in February in energy supply, where output went up by nearly 6 per cent.

Industrial output went up by 0.9 per cent from January to February
According to Statistics Finland, seasonally adjusted industrial output was 0.9 per cent higher in February 2007 than in January.

Revised data for February will be published at 9 am on 30 April 2007 in connection with the release of industrial output data for March. Because of the method used, seasonally adjusted figures for previous months may change even if the original figures do not become revised. The seasonally adjusted figures will also be adjusted for working days.
